You received a Bomb Threat, what should I do?

If you receive a bomb threat:
​
  1. Remain calm.
  2. Get as much information as possible from the caller (if by phone); pretend to have difficulty hearing.
    1. Where is the bomb?
    2. When is it set to go off?
    3. What type of bomb is it?
  3. Hold the line open. Do not hang up.
  4. Use another line to call 911.
  5. Follow instructions from emergency personnel.
  6. If the threat is for your location, follow the “evacuate” actions of the Crisis Plan:
    1. Follow the instructions provided by authorities.
    2. Notify others to evacuate.
    3. Take only your phone and essential items.
    4. Help those needing assistance.
    5. Notify police of missing or injured.
